*cue Britney Spears singing "Oops I did it again"*
So yesterday morning I went to work feeling great!! I had on a new outfit and I looked kinda cute and I had worked out really well Monday night. I did a Sharon Kihara belly dance DVD and biked for 30 minutes, probably burning a total of 500 calories for a 1 hr 15 minute workout. I was proud. I'm on the mend, I think, I am going to get better!
And then I sit down in my desk and as my right hand goes right I turn left and WRENCH...
I pull/wrench the muscles in my upper back between my spine and shoulder blade and now it hurts to take a deep breath.
I can't even tell you how mad I am about this. Ever since back surgery when I have tried to work-out something gets hurt. My feet get tendonitis, my back gets pulled, etc. So for two years I haven't really been able to exercise like I did before surgery and I looked a lot better and was a lot thinner. I'm feeling frustrated and I don't quite know what to do about all of this.
Sorry for the rant. Please move on to a happier day.

Howdy! So a while back some one told me (I think it was
laughing_muse) that
rhiannon76 was a big fan of Sharon Kihara. Ok, I thought, I can see that. After watching Ms. Kihara's workout DVD I have to say this:
rhiannon76 let us for the big fan girl squeedom for Sharon 'cause she is like OMG I am in love!!!!
Your result for The Harry Potter Husband Test...
Mrs. Lupin
Your perfect HP man is Remus Lupin.

You like a nice, kind guy with a bit of a fierce streak and you don't mind if he comes damaged. Sure, he may take some convincing since his self-esteem's so low, but once you win him over, you know he's yours for life. Unless of course he has an attack of "I'm not good enough" and runs away, but luckily he's also good at making friends who will push him back into line if necessary.

Huh. Well I do like Lupin. He's no Scottie Bear though. :) Thanks laughing_muse for the quiz!
HI! I wanted to save this article so I am putting it behind a cut. But go ahead and read it. It is about Mind-Blowing Science that many of us, who read science fiction and fantasy literature, have already contemplated. ;) Thanks for the link
dyrecorn.
Uh, just one thing, I find it offensive that the graphic with Genghis Khan saying that he got a lot of sex because he raped a lot of women. Though I'm sure that the author meant no offense by it, rape isn't sex, so perhaps that thought should have been edited.

One of my colleagues brought in some cooked green beans and potatoes for the office to enjoy. I am soooo enjoying them! Yum!
Well I simply must tell my Hubby that when this place opens - The Wizarding World of Harry Potter & Official Orlando Theme Park Potter Site - we are SO going!!! I mean, I just want to go and sit there for like, oh 8 hours and do nothing but sit and drink the Potter vibe. :) And yes, I will listen to some Wizard Rock too. My buddy from high school, has promised to take me and Hubby through it as he is a master theme park traveler.
And BTW, the Subject line is from a Wizard Rock song called "I'm Going to Hogwarts" by Lauren Fairweather from her CD "Devil's Snare". Yes, you can get it on iTunes.

So yesterday I got to see a Wizard Rock concert here in B-ton!! I got to see Harry and the Potters as part of their Unlimited Enthusiasm Expo. It was a lot of fun to Rhino's so filled with people who loved Wizard Rock and/or just came 'cause it looked like - and was - fun! Frankly I could have just watched H&P but the other bands were fun too. YAY! I also got to see some friends and bands I met at Wrockstock and hopefully I will be able to bring them to Rhino's this semester. Maybe then you all will come and experience the love. :)
Finally!! After years of thinking I should do it, I finally did!! Different Drummer Belly Dancers (DDBD) has a new Site!! Visit www.ddbd.org and check out the new and easier to navigate lay-out. Plus I have lots of pictures that I have finally compiled and uploaded. (And yes I know there are more so if you have them, please let me know!) Whew! Yes folks, that's what 30 hours of your life can look like. :)

Happy Birthday to J.K. Rowling and Harry Potter! You both have brought joy to my life. :)
Hello! I have found yet another thing to enjoy on the Web: shinga. She has fun art and a great sense of humor. :)
I first found her when I was sent this: Twilight Sucks. Hee hee.
Now I am really fond of her Webcomic: Head Trip.
And today is my last day of 2 month hiatus from teaching. Tomorrow I start back-up at HPER. I am really looking forward to it. I really do love my job. Plus
fallenrose will be my commuting companion at various times this year when she is not riding with Hubby.

to do text messaging on my cell phone. Thanks
dyrecorn for the much needed lesson on how to type message.
prosewitch I am now ready to very very slowly text messages to you for Gen Con - however don't expect books or lots of letters and characters. Dang people but texting is hard! Or at least time-consuming. I expect to be addicted by tomorrow.[Bad username: ]
Hi! I had a fun dream last night. I was playing a new LARP based on the Robert Jordan books (please note that I have never read these books). I was playing a princess who was ruling a small kingdom and I the kingdom had a Middle Eastern look so of course I was in tribal belly dance stuff. I was meeting up with a king in a new kingdom for some political reasons. I think my character's name was Satver and my kingdom was Morwen (note again, never read the books). It was a very fun game with a very detailed map showing all of the political and troupe movements and thanks ![[info]](http://p-stat.livejournal.com/img/userinfo.gif)
sarcastibich 'cause you were helping me with background stuff for the story the whole time. :) Lots of my gaming buddies were there - in fact I think you were all there and we were all having fun.
Nice dream. Thanks ya'll!
Nice dream. Thanks ya'll!
I've been talking about it and and everywhere - Wizard Rock is the BEST!! Now one of the big founding bands of Wizard Rock - Harry and the Potters are coming to Bloomington, Indiana and they are bringing their friends with them!!
Ladies and Gentlemen come to the:
Grab your juice box and get ready to rock - the DIY traveling summer camp circus and crazy rock tour is coming Rhino's Youth Center Sunday August 3rd at 4pm. Starring Harry and the Potters, Math the Band, and Uncle Monsterface, this extravaganza of childlike excitement features an afternoon of Harry Potter related fun and prizes and an evening of wizard rock for the young and young at heart. Tickets are $10 for adults and $5 for children 12 and under and go on sale Friday July 11th at Rhino's Youth Center, Landlocked Music, the Sunshine Box Office, and www.bloomingtonarts.info.
Harry and the Potters, Math the Band, and Uncle Monsterface each have way too much fun at their rock shows. Sharing a love for going completely bananas on stage and for doing everything themselves, the three groups decided to set up a traveling summer camp, circus, and indie rock tour - The Unlimited Enthusiasm Expo(UEE), 2008.
Giant monsters, huge video projections, inflatable monkeys, camp fires and circus tents combine with songs about wizards, dancing sock puppets, and furious rock and roll aerobics to bring the nation a much-needed dose of insane fun.
Harry and the Potters sing songs about the plight of being a young wizard, and have primarily toured libraries for the past 4 years. Math the Band sings songs about the water cycle while doing aerobics. Uncle Monsterface sings songs about wearing capes as accompanied by sock puppets and giant monsters. Harry and the Potters have godfathered an entire genre of music known as wizard rock populated by over 500 DIY bands, all performing songs about the Harry Potter book series. Math the Band performs so hard that he throws up after every show. Uncle Monsterface does a sock puppet rock band cover of Madonna's 'Like a Prayer'.
All three bands share a disturbing capacity for enthusiasm, and their audiences are with them. Harry and the Potters and Uncle Monsterface have been joining forces for nearly three years, and adding Math the Band to the roster and crossing the country for six weeks will truly up the ante. Setting out to re-capture the magic of summer tours before they became consumed by corporate interests, the three bands are here to give fun back to rock and roll.
The Unlimited Enthusiasm Summer Tour is an attempt to present new ideas about what a rock show and tour can be. With an intense focus on a Do-It-Yourself ethic, audience participation, and a completely open and welcoming mindset, expect a show filled with kids and adults, parents and teenagers, all collectively enjoying themselves in an outpouring of geeky summer fun. A participatory concert, volunteers from the local community and fan base will be on-hand at each show to mix Kool-aid and make PB & Js, hang decorations and blow up balloons, register voters (with Wizard Rock the Vote in attendance) and play Nintendo or dance on stage with us. There will be name-tags! There will be bubbles! This is a home-made summer tour where anything is possible and the power of rock and roll can, and will, change our lives.

Your result for The Who Would You Be in 1400 AD Test...
The Cardinal

You are the real power behind the throne. No one dares dispute or refuse you. Which is good because that's how you get things done. You are also, however, completely corrupt and highly immoral. This doesn't bother you in the least as you lounge around your rich comfortable surroundings, reveling in wealth and authority.
